First Baptist Church School

First Baptist Church School (FBCS) is an integral part of the mission and ministry of First Baptist Church of Shreveport. Since 1970, the School has earned an excellent reputation in North Louisiana for successfully preparing children for higher education. Our school is a place where Jesus Christ lives in the heart of those who teach and those who learn.  

FBCS educates children from age three through the eighth grade in a setting that promotes intellectual, moral and spiritual growth.  We encourage children to achieve excellence and to develop the skills and understanding to guide them throughout a satisfying and productive life.  We are Rooted in Tradition, Led by God, Inspired by Innovation. The school is accredited with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, as well as the Louisiana Department of Education and serves over 450 students and their families.

First Baptist Shreveport Chinese Church

The First Baptist Shreveport Chinese Church meets at inside our activity center. In addition to worship services, they also have Sunday School, annual events and gatherings, and English language classes. Join them for an event or service soon!

Academy for the Arts

The Academy for the Arts at First Baptist Church of Shreveport seeks to teach and train students of all ages in music, dance, theater, and the visual arts. We believe talent in any form is a gift from God that can be developed and improved with practice and training. To this end we offer lessons in vocal and instrumental music, and we offer regular and exciting opportunities for performance. The Academy adheres to the scripture found in Colossians 3:16; Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
